We’re over half way in October and that’s pretty mental. I think I sound like a parrot each month going, HOW QUICK DOES THE TIME GO? But, yeah, each month I can’t get use to it. Like, it’s nearly Christmas soon and I haven’t even thought about shopping or anything.
October has been a good month for blogging. I don’t know why but I’ve found some real gems this month. I love it. I’ve been on the hunt for a lot of baking posts for the past few weeks in aid of making some home made Christmas treats. Times are hard so, if you are family who are reading this, expect some homemade stuff!
So, who have I loved this month?
I really, really love Kat’s blog and I’ve been reading it religiously since reading her Halloween baking post. I just love the variety of posts, the fabulous photography and the attention to detail she puts in each post. It’s just everything I really like in a blog; a total mix and she deserves every success she gets!
Sarah is The Geek’s sister and runs a wonderful crafting blog over on Smashing Sarah. She’s been scrap booking for a good while now and I find it a really fab way to see what she, Gary and my nephew are up to! It’s different from speaking on the phone as I get to see photographs and it’s a great way to relive days out I’ve been a part of!
Sarah’s blog is a thing of all things wonderful; from personal stories, to reviews on restaurants, beauty products and cake. It’s become one of my go to blogs for looking for reviews as I always trust her judgement. She’s also doing fantastic work raising awareness of being a donor. Her story inspired me to sign up for being an organ donor. I was one of those people, before speaking to Sarah, who felt a bit weird about donating my eyes. Her story has made me realise the importance of becoming a donor and that sight is one of the most wonderful gifts we have.
Hannah’s blog is my favourite blog and has been for the past year. It’s the one I will read every day with fail as I just find her so relatable. She reminds me of what blogging is really about; us all being every day people with a little space on the internet. Her posts aren’t all rainbows and butterflies or focusing on ridiculously expensive products, which is something I really admire about her. She focuses on the real hard hitting and honest truth. On social media, it’s so easy to idolise people and think they all have it better than us, but with Hannah, she makes you feel less alone.
Are you fans of these blogs? What blogs do you recommend I try giving a read?
