It’s not really Blogmas without throwing a beauty post in the mix.
I’ve picked up a few bits over the past few months which have firmly made their way in my every day make up bag. Winter is always a different board game make up wise than summer. It’s getting ready to embrace the darker shades, up the skincare regime and whack out the shimmery eyeshadow for Christmas parties.
I’ve been trying out a few things through PR’s and also picked up a few bits up myself. These are my current favourites at the moment!
My skin took a turn for the worse at the end of October. I think it was drinking my way through October, wearing more make up and probably not cleaning my make up brushes. I don’t usually suffer with bad skin, so, when I was breaking out it made me feel a bit shite. I luckily won one of the #BloggerHalloweenParty goody bags and some of this magic was in there. It’s a cleansing oil full of natural ingredients such a tea tree oil, coconut oil and everything good in the world. I massage it into my face every night and wipe it off with a hot cloth. It’s perfect at taking off the eye make up micellar water can’t get rid of and just has really helped with my skin. It’s also super affordable and is multi-purpose so it’s here to stay on my bathroom shelf.
Sephora Nude Eye Palette – £25.00
I picked this up when I went to Palma at the end of September. It was around 25 euros and it’s everything and more. It’s the perfect palette for building up looks with a range of shades. There’s some gorgeous shimmery shades, which are perfect for Christmas as well as some more matte shades for an every day look. It came with a brown eyeliner and Sephora brush, which is well over the modest 25 euro price tag.
Lola Eyeshadow By Marks and Spencers* – £10.00
Another boo out of the Halloween goody bag. This is my everyday work eyeshadow now as it’s just the colour I love. I think this colour is perfect for anyone with blue or green eyes as it just makes your eyes pop. I only wear it with mascara and have received so many compliments on this shade.
MAC Whirl £15.00
My beloved MAC Whirl has made another appearance this winter. Its one of my favourite autumn/winter shades as there is just something that’s fabulously moody about it. I’m still working on my confidence to wear my NYX Copenhagen shade as I’m still finding it a little dark. But MAC Whirl with it’s brown undertones just make me feel like the sassy boss I am. As with all MAC lipsticks, it wins for it’s longevity,
Is there any beauty favourites that I have to try? Let me know!
