Can you believe I’ve been a married woman for over 2 weeks now?
The past 2 weeks have flown by and I’m loving married life. It’s no different to before except I have to remember to answer to Mrs T now and I feel a lot less stressed with having a lot more time on my hands. Honestly, waking up on the first Saturday after our wedding and having the feeling of, ‘I have nothing planned or to do today’ was one of the best feelings.
But, with it all being over means there is going to be a lot of wedding content on my blog. Starting off with a few brands I worked with to create affordable Groomsmen boxes for all the men and boys in our wedding party
Firstly, let’s talk about the groomsmen boxes I created. The theme of our wedding was focusing on a lot of book paper mixed with grey and purple. The best way I felt to give the gifts were in presentation boxes that I picked up from Hobbycraft. Making them fit the theme, I picked up a cheap Harry Potter book and covered the boxes with the pages. Who said papier-mache was a pointless skill?
Deciding what to fill them with for our groomsmen was a long task. We had 4 groomsmen and a best man along with my 5 year old nephew. For 2 of the groomsmen and the best man, we followed the same sort of theme – alcohol! The Personalised Gift Shop sent us these personalised shot glasses. They have a number of different designs but we chose the top hat ones. Personalised with the date, name and role of the gent in question, they were an absolute steal at £3.95 each. We paired them up with our groomsmen favourite spirit and mixer so it was the perfect box for them.
Not all of our groomsmen were big drinkers though – so it seemed pointless supplying them with alcohol and glasses that wouldn’t be drunk. The Personalised Gift Shop caters for all and the personalised coffee jars were a winner. Buying an initial mug, the coffee jars added that little extra to the box, and both groomsmen have reported back saying it’s good coffee too! The coffee is from the Live Coffee Company, so for £12.99, it’s a very unique but affordable gift.
One thing not to give a child is coffee and alcohol – for my nephew I wanted something he could keep, quite sentimental and just something a little bit different. Born Gifted delivered in my ask and delivered this silver plated engraved yo-yo which now takes pride of place on his shelf of special things. The yo-yo was a winner and it’s something I haven’t seen before, and I know it’ll always be kept safe if my sister-in-law has anything to do with it! The Born Gifted company have so many ideas for gifts for kids on their website, especially for weddings!
The boxes went down a treat on our wedding day and they were a lot of fun to put together and didn’t cost a fortune. The Personalised Gift Shop has 20% off on your first order and Born Gifted has some excellent deals – and an extra 10% if you sign up to their VIP club!
