Umm.. bye November and er.. Hello December?
I don’t really know what’s happened to November. It’s just sort of.. vanished? It doesn’t help I’ve got a ridiculous amount of people popping up on Facebook and Instagram showing off(!!!) that they’ve put up their Christmas trees already. I don’t mean to be a scrooge but IT’S FREAKING NOVEMBER. CALM THE F DOWN. Rant over.
I’m glad November is going. It’s been a bit pants in all honesty. I’ve never liked November, it’s just that really awkward waiting period for Christmas and the come down of, OMG ITS AUTUMN. It was also the first time I’ve had to de-ice the car, which is one of my biggest pet hates.
So, yeah, welcome December! I welcome you with open arms and I’ve got some fabulous things planned! As well as Christmas meals and Christmas throwing up every where, I’m off to Smashing Sarah’s annual Christmas jumper party. Better yet, Rufus is coming and I’ve picked up the cutest Christmas bow tie for him. Yep, I’ve become THAT person. I’m also gonna be reunited with my bestie Northerner Down South for a day out in London which I’m always excited for.
Moving on – what have I been loving in November?
The Hunger Games
I’m so, so late to the party. Like, I’m that late that everyone is already passed out and suffering with a hangover. I watched all four Hunger Games films in the space of the week and I’m totally obsessed. THEY ARE AMAZING AND WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME? Catniss is a beautiful human being who has the most wonderful hair in existence. The Geek & I went to go to see Mockingjay Part 2 around a week ago. I won’t lie, I wasn’t too impressed with it. I just felt that something was missing. He’s hopefully *hint* getting me the books for Christmas so I can’t wait to get stuck into them!
The National Pet Show
At the beginning of the month I was lucky enough to be invited to The National Pet Show held at Birmingham’s NEC. For any pet lover, it was total heaven and I was in my happy place. I managed to pick up some fab bits for Rufus which you can read all about here. As well as playing with pooches all day, I’ve found a charity that I really believe in supporting called The Humanimal Trust. It’s run by Supervet, Noel Fitzpatrick and it’s working to get animal and human medicine to work together. I think it’s a fantastic charity and if it can help both animals and humans, I’m totally for it.
This is my new favourite thing in the world. I picked it up in Birmingham’s Topshop for £22.50 (Thanks discount) and I’m in love. It’s not the warmest of things but it just looks so swishy and it’s just ace for something to keep me warm when I’m popping out in the car and not facing too much winter weather. The Geek got some snaps of me whilst when we took Rufus out over the weekend. It was pretty windy and a miserable day to be honest. so, er, soz for my unimpressed face! If you want it, you can grab it for £25 here!
Pretty Little Bloggers Santas Grotto Event
I will be doing a complete write up of the event but I needed to squeeze it into my November favourites too! This is my second Pretty Lovely Bloggers event and each time, I’ve had a really fabulous time. It was lovely catching up with Charlee and Shaun and meeting some other gorgeous bloggers. I met some fantastic brands who will be up and coming on the blog too, so, keep your eyes out!
Pizza with Ren
I finally got to meet one of my best blogger friends, Ms Mistry, at the beginning of the month. Despite me driving around aimlessly and getting us lost in my own home town, we had a fabulous pizza date at Pizza Express in Telford Southwater. It’s really great meeting people who you speak to online pretty much everyday. Our meal wasn’t the best as they got Ren’s meal wrong and we were waiting ages for our food to come. It was fabulous and I can’t wait to see more of her!
