It’s that time again where I write about my favourite things in the month. February is gonna be a bit of weird one as I haven’t done a lot this month. Well, 2 weeks of it was spent sat on the sofa feeling sorry for myself and feeling like pants. So much for the best version of me, eh?
But, it’s not been all doom and gloom. The Geek and I booked tickets to go and see The Boss in May which I can’t wait for. The Geek has always been a huge Springsteen fan whereas, Bruce has had to grow on me before I really started to enjoy it. Now he’s had time to grow, we booked tickets for Manchester with some pals. I can’t wait! We also went on a mini adventure to Wales and really, that’s about it.
Not really bigging up this monthly faves am i?
But, without further ramblings: here ya go:
I feel the NHS always get loads of negative press and not a lot of the positive good news stories about the stuff they do. So, here is a good news story. I’m impressed with them, because of how quickly they’ve managed to get my eye issues sorted. In the space of 4 weeks from my original optician appointment I’m undergoing laser treatment this week to hopefully sort of my eyes. Although it’s bloody scary and resulted in me being miserable in my glasses for nearly a month, my hats are off to them. Well done NHS, you’ve hopefully saved my eye sight and normal service can resume. Bravo.

I got my first ever piece of paid work from blogging. Yayyy! And, to make it better, it consisted of going to Wales and walking my dog. I’ll write a full write up of our Welsh adventure but I was kinda living the dream. I was walking around with my two favourites in the world, with no technology and just life. The whole walk went around a lake so all you could hear was running water. It was dreamy and makes me want to go live in the country even more than I already did.
Due to not being able to wear no eye make up, I really started to up my skin care because I was feeling pants all the time and I didn’t want a face full of foundation and not even a tiny bit of mascara. Let’s face it, it’d look weird. Luckily at the time of eye drama, I won my favourite Skin Sincere product. There’s something uplifting about a good face scrub, you really feel clean and fresh. The bonus with this one is that it doesn’t feel as if you’re ripping off your face and it’s full of natural goodness. I adore Skin Sincere products and everything about their company. They are a firm favourite in my skin care collection!
I added my second MAC lipstick to my make up collection this month. Ever since my best friend bought me Whirl, I’ve kinda become obsessed. I wanted to find more of a natural every day lipstick where it’ll permanently live in handbag. I’m happy to say Pink Plaid is the lucky winner and I love it. It’s wonderful and matte, fantastic coverage and really brightens up an everyday look.
I’m sorry – I really struggled with this months favourites. I literally haven’t done much except sit on the sofa with Rufus and moan about my eyes. However, next months will be better! Me, my Mum and my Auntie are off to Crufts and I’ve got some other exciting things in the pipeline!
Oh, I finally got a Facebook page for my blog so if you wanna go follow and like, please do!
