February became the month of celebration in the Blogger & The Geek household. With our nuptials becoming closer and closer, we spent February with our friends having our hen and stag weekends. It was a long awaited weekend as it was the first of my travel plans for 2018
My girl whisked me off to Edinburgh for the weekend. Edinburgh had been a city on my list for such a long time; so many people had recommended it telling me I needed to go. So, when the girls pulled off the planning of it for my hen weekend, I couldn’t wait to set foot on the train and start my weekend in Scotland’s capital.
The build up to your hen/stag weekend is a strange one and filled me with mix emotions. I have a number of different friends, from different parts of my lives all across the UK. Getting them together was no easy task and there was a lot of them who didn’t know the other. The weekend was filled with the anxiety of, are people going to get on? I haven’t seen this person for so long, will we have chance to catch up? There’s also this weird pressure that surrounds you: you’re the one thing that these people have in common with each other and now they are going to spend 48 togethers.
No pressure, right?
